GMC announced in July that the Yukon Hybrid will get some beefing up with a Denali treatment, and recently they also announced that the GMC Acadia will also be having a luxury Denali variant.
The news came through online via Twitter. Buick-GMC broke updated the car industry with a simple statement that the Denali gets a green light and will be coming soon. Of course, everyone still waits for the details.
The Denali version of the Acadia is expected to get more fine leather in its interior and bigger rims to boot. Power accessories will also come into package and GMC might just inject better DVD gadget, improved sunroof, and 12-way temperature control for the seats. The Denali package was specifically designed for the extreme comfort of the passengers.
Consumers resort to buying the Cadillac Escalade if they are looking for a posh GM SUV but the appeal of the GMC Denali is quite different. The Denali variants appeal to the executives who look for work-grade rides. They also appeal to limo services and a sector that wants high class ride but enjoys staying low key.
The standard release of the Acadia has a V6 engine with 3.6L engine displacement. The fuel mileage is not that good and is most likely to be within 17mpg when driving along city streets and at 24 mpg while cruising on the highway. The regular Acadia has a tag of $31,740 and the sticker price might be up to around $40,000 for the Denali variants.
The expected pricing of the Acadia Denali will give it some edge from the more expensive 2010 SRX from Cadillac.
